General Information
The 2024 95-95-95 Targets Update will precede the AIDS 2024 conference and will focus on HIV programmatic targets in the UNAIDS Global AIDS Strategy, with an eye towards the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.3 – ending AIDS as a public health threat. The aim of this one-day symposium is to unpack successes and examine challenges to closing HIV testing, prevention, treatment, and viral suppression gaps, with an equal focus on creating enabling environments for optimal HIV and other health outcomes.
Hosted by IAPAC in collaboration with UNAIDS and GNP+, the 2024 95-95-95 Targets Update program will take place Monday, July 22, 2024, in Munich, Germany (venue TBA). The program includes a keynote address, two plenary sessions, two panel discussions, and three country/city case study sessions. A distinguished global faculty will review progress and discuss accelerated action to achieve SDG 3.3 with a focus on the following UNAIDS targets:
- 95% of at-risk individuals use combination HIV prevention
- 95% of people living with HIV (PLHIV) know their status
- 95% of PLHIV who know their status initiate ART
- 95% of PLHIV on ART achieve viral suppression
