IAPAC has embraced a rights-based approach that strives to realize the human right to health. Our advocacy aims to ensure that every woman, man, and child has equitable access to quality testing, prevention, care, treatment services wherever they live irrespective of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, or other considerations. IAPAC activities in support of this aim include the elimination of stigma, whose perpetration represents a human rights violation, but also serves as a barrier to accessing and utilizing health services. Advocacy around programmatic and public health milestones is also an important component of our work in relation to HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis (HBV and HCV).
